Refund Policy

Last updated 5 September 2026

We would rather you were happy than locked in. This is an editable first draft of how refunds work for Briefstarter.

30-day money-back guarantee

If Briefstarter is not right for you, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your order date — subscription or credit pack, no explanation required.

How to request a refund

Payments and refunds are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Request a refund at paddle.net using the email address you bought with, or email us at hello@getbriefstarter.com and we will help. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Paddle’s own refund policy also applies to every transaction.

Cancelling a subscription

Cancelling stops future renewals and keeps your Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling on its own is not a refund request — if you want money back for the current period, ask within the 30-day window.

Renewals

If a renewal caught you by surprise, contact us within 30 days of the renewal charge and we will look at it sympathetically, particularly if the plan was not used in that period.

Your statutory rights

Nothing here limits your consumer rights under the law of your country. If you are in the UK or EEA you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days; that right applies in addition to the guarantee above, whichever is more favourable to you.

Abuse

We may decline a refund where there is clear evidence of fraud or systematic abuse — for example repeated buy-and-refund cycles on the same account. We will explain our reasoning if that ever happens.
